As founder of BUZZCommunications LLC Ms. Lessy specializes in economic and business development, sports and event marketing, and business-to-business communications, press relations, political consulting and presentation and media relations consulting. Ms. Lessy counsels clients on their interaction with local municipalities and state governmental departments.

From 1990 to 2001 she authored BUZZ, a column that appeared in the Philadelphia Daily News three days a week that covered business issues, the hotel and hospitality industry, local and state politics, economic development and real estate trends.

Ms. Lessy has appeared on numerous radio and TV talk shows and is a frequent guest speaker at high schools, universities, and synagogues speaking on a variety of topics including “It Starts With Hello”….everyone has public relations and it does start with hello!

She was a regular panelist on "Inside Story", a weekly show that had been aired Sundays on WPVI/TV, on which she discussed issues from local, national and international headlines.

BuzzCommunications has worked with a varied list of clients since founded in late 2001 that includes the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN), UNIQUELYphiladelphia,  Geno's Steaks (a 76-hour fundraiser following 9/11), The Goldenberg Group, Lofts 640 , The American School of Oriental Research, Dance Celebration, Marine Club , Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy PC, Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association, The Food Trust, Center City Owners Association, The Civil War & Underground Railroad Museum of Philadelphia, and Solebury Township.

Prior to joining the Daily News Ms. Lessy worked in public relations in several of the region's largest advertising/ communications firms on a variety of accounts from 1981 - 1990 that included The Atlantic Ten, Melitta Coffee, The Sands Hotel and Casino, Chemical Leaman Tank Lines, Franklin Plaza Hotel, Philadelphia Suburban Water Company, The Reading Company, Bank of Delaware, Delaware Trust, Wheels, Franklin Mills, the Old Course Golf & Country Club and the Parliament Sound Series at Penn's Landing.

She also supervised the public relations programs for the owner/operators group of McDonald's Family Restaurants for the Phil-Ad-Mac region. Special events for McDonald's involved conception, execution and press relations from new store openings, the McDonald's All-American Basketball Game), Race Across America, LPGA and new product introductions for Southeast Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
